Every organisation we talk to has an AI strategy, backed by board sign-off and a credible roadmap. What is far harder to find is evidence: something real, running on the business’s own data, that leadership can point to and say, “this works here.”
That gap between strategy and execution is where most AI initiatives quietly stall.
The hidden cost of proving AI works
Across Finance, Sales, Operations, IT, and Marketing, we consistently see the same pattern:
- Strong appetite for AI at the leadership level
- Genuine uncertainty about where to start and what will deliver value
- A traditional proof-of-concept path that is slow, costly, and vendor-led
- Momentum lost while procurement, scoping, and sign-off run their course
By the time a pilot produces an answer, the business case has usually gone cold, and the budget cycle has moved on.
The problem isn’t AI’s capability, it’s the cost and time required to prove that capability on your own systems, with your own data, in front of your own team.
Introducing the Amazon Quick Desktop Sprint
Cevo has been selected by AWS to deliver the Amazon Quick Desktop Sprint, a fully funded engagement built on AWS’s new agentic AI platform, delivered under AWS’s own partner program at no cost to the customer.
Amazon Quick Desktop brings together business intelligence, conversational AI, and automated workflows in a single governed environment that connects directly into the systems organisations already run, such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Confluence, Amazon S3, and more.
Because AWS co-funds the engagement and Cevo delivers it against a proven, fixed-scope methodology, there is no commercial risk on the customer’s side. This is not a discounted pilot, it is a genuine, no-cost opportunity to prove value before committing any budget.
What five days actually delivers
In five days, the Amazon Quick Desktop Sprint delivers:
- Five named users onboarded, drawn from the business areas the customer selects: Sales, Finance, Operations, IT, or Marketing
- Five real data sources connected, using the customer’s own systems rather than sample data
- A secure, role-based Amazon Quick Desktop environment, configured to the customer’s business context
- An AI-searchable knowledge base built across every connected data source
- A custom chat agent and one automated workflow per user, so the capability is being used from day one, not just switched on.
At the end of the sprint, the customer is left with a working AI capability running on their own data, not a slide deck and not a demo environment. Alongside it, Cevo hands over a 3 – 6 month roadmap that sets out what to connect next, who to bring on board, and where the highest-value use cases sit across the organisation.
Why this matters now
Most AI conversations stall on the same three questions: how long will this take? What will it cost? And how do we know it will work here? The Amazon Quick Desktop Sprint answers all three before a single dollar has been spent.
Removing cost removes the objection that usually blocks a first step, and removing time means the answer arrives in days, not quarters. Because the work runs on the customer’s own data and their own people, what comes out of the sprint is specific to that business, not a generic showcase built for someone else’s use case.
That combination is what makes this a genuine proof point rather than another pitch: a working capability the business can scale from, backed by AWS’s own co-investment in getting it right.
Ready to take the first step?
Cevo is working closely with AWS to bring the Amazon Quick Desktop Sprint to organisations ready to move from AI ambition to AI evidence, backed by AWS as the program owner and co-funder.
The first step is a short conversation, around twenty minutes, to identify the use case and data sources that will give the clearest proof point. From there, a sprint can typically be on the calendar within weeks.
If your organisation is weighing up where AI fits and wants an answer grounded in your own data rather than another round of planning, we would welcome the conversation.
